blindspot.
April 17th, 2010 Posted 4:30 am
you know when you’re behind the wheels, you have to constantly take note on the blind spot areas? we should not confine our attention only to censors, rear and side mirrors. or. we might just miss sight of other road users and end up in a mess. you don’t wanna be like a mesh of untangled knot!
come to think of it, it hits me that these blind spots are resembling the existence of other possibilities we tend to ignore in life (by accident). that may be caused by us being too engrossed into our own comfort zones, too comfort with the scope view provided by the rear view mirrors. the way we solve a problem, the way we perceive a situation is all concentrated to one rigid list which makes every other possibilities outside the ‘list’ expelled.
pathetic isn’t it.
so what i’ve learn about life and blind spot is that they ARE both crucial. in everyday life, things happen or don’t, people come and go. whatever scenario slammed right under our nose, we shall not despise the blind spot. take a glimpse at the blind spot, we’ll begin seeing a bigger picture. open our heart to all prospects, and there we’ll the courage or strength to carry on. or the inevitable untold burden of issue.
Don’t you think it’s easier to figure out what an artist is trying to express by looking whole potrait of picture than just a part of it even if its close to 100%?
Don’t you think it’s less sophisticated to figure out what a singer is trying to express by listening to every beat of the lyrics than just part of the song?
Don’t you think we’re losing it by missing out a portion to the fraction of whole; be it small or big.
Don’t you think it’s harmless AND costless to take not of blind spots?
what you see is not exactly what you get.

two most powerful warrior

patience and time
~ Leo Nikoleavich
i had a fruitful and satisfying monday.
being the superwoman me, i like to get things done fast, efficient, and at the ELEVENTH HOUR. Monday, I’ve achieved and completed two significant task that is believed make a major impact in my life. MAAJORRR. that is provided only if I successfully get through.
***
woke up at five in the morning, get prepared and dad drove me back to my high school, SMKSBU to get the application forms certified (at last minute). THANK YOU Pn. Rohana for willing to meet up at 6.30 in the morning to meet up and make sure my forms are completely fit to be submitted. Loads of appreciation~
four wheeled to putrajaya. Boy, the 14km highway was a series of wave with crest and throne. Putrajaya looks generously spacious. Registered, and took a seat. Looking at those boys who used to be in highschool long olive pants and white buttons shirt, now transformed to a CEO-looking man- of confident blazors and polished leather shoes. Damn, this is competitive! 5% folks, don’t let it slip. Look!
According to The Star,
The students selected under the excellent academic achievement category will be assessed according to academic performance (85%), co-curricular activities (10%) and Public Services Department interview (5%), said Muhyiddin, who is in Paris to attend the 184th session of the Unesco executive board meeting which will start today.
Alright, before attending the interview, I’ve done a little research on how JPA interview is conducted as it was frequently described tough by our seniors and school counsellors. I gotta thank those people who are willing to share their experience and be kind enough to post them up on forum for public view. It is definitely helpful to the lost-at-sea JPA scholarship applicants (eg. me). Therefore, I decided to share my humble experience in turn so it may or may not help the future applicants in time to come. wink!
First and foremost, applicants are grouped into different panels of 20+ applicants.Within the panel, the applicants are then further divided into groups of 5. Each applicants are given numbering from 1-5 which indicates your sequence in that particular group. Interview will be conducted in both Malay and English language.
TIPS 1# Command of language is important! Not just being fluent in Malay and English, if you notice- through the application process, they actually demand for any form of certification on foreign language. For my interview, they even asked if any of us can speak foreign language. Obviously, the emphasis on foreign language is profound. If you’re multilingual, you’ve got the advantage!
During the interview session, you will be asked to give a brief introduction on yourself. For mine;
- family and education background
- CVs
- Why did you choose to pursue this field?
- Which country would you prefer? Why?
Need not to mention, to be chosen you NEED to be outstanding. What I’ve learn from this interview is that you need to think fast. Always be prepared for your points to be taken by fellow group mates. (if you’re number 1, you can be lucky or not as your points are fresh but may not be the best) If possible, try brainstorming ideas on the spot. You can always note them down. No harm cause i did. Apparently, you’ll be surprise good ideas will come flowing in in times of desperation.
Introduction is important as it is YOUR first impression to the panels of (strangers) interviewers. It is the best time where you can promote/sell yourself. Moderately, don’t overdo. In addition to that, it also serves as a session in which interviewers broaden their understanding towards you. They might intersect you with question marks. Relax, answer calmly and end with a smile.
Next, interviewers will proceed with group discussion by giving you subjective topics. Here, you will be evaluated if you’re an active or passive mode, leader dictator or follower. Again, you need to stand out. I meant outstanding NOT outshine. Try to avoid elaborating each other’s idea too much. Constantly throw in new points to the group discussion and let it flow. No worries!
TIPS 2# Befriend your group mates! You need to be aware that at there, you throw a stone and it can just effortlessly hit a straight A student/president/head prefect. Everyone is somebody there. I’m sure you don’t want to be overshadowed. Here’s something you can do; make a deal not to over dominate one another during group discussion. That’s what my team did!
Oh oh, don’t hesitate to voice out when your light bulbs suddenly ignite! Remember, you have only ONE CHANCE.
Walaaa, you’re done with your interview then! Always end it with a firm handshake, smile and thank the interviewers for their time.
Remain calm in the room no matter how freezing the air conditioned is (that’s what happened to me) or how unfavourable the condition is. Endureeeee.
Goooood Luck and enjoy your interview! ;D
Ah well, just trying my luck there anyway. JPA scholarship ain’t white peanuts. Thanks to everyone who have supported me especially my dad for taking a day off for making everything happen, HanJie for the endless information, SuiLun for calming me down and sharing information.

2nd task is that
I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!
*cheeeeers~ confetti~*
After all the wind and rain, I finally am over the driving test.
Lemme just share with you some highlights.
1. I was ze famous ‘JPA girl’ for the day. I’m suppose to be from SESI 1 but due to JPA I need to be sumbat-ed into SESI 3. To make this happened, my driving school has went through all the hoohaas. Hence, all the officers knew bout me- the root of hoohaas.
2. I was asked to return home to change my pants. “amoi, ini disco ke? boleh pakai macam ni ke JPA tak? boleh tak boleh tak? nanti pegawai pegang, suka tak?” -.- bdw, i was wearing knee length pants.
3. Since I went home to changed, I came back late where everyone was already given number. Guess what, I’m number 62. and proudly, SECOND LAST.
4. Since I’m second last, i finished my driving test at 7.15pm.
righht.
In a nutshell, I’ve been a REAL patient person that particular Monday. No books, no mags, no wifi and i manage to witness every move of the long hand of the clocky. Nevertheless, like bebe said, everything’s worthwhile once we achieve the desired outcome. (MAJOR IMPACT rmb?)
time is precious and patience simply means calmly allowing time to pass to accomplish. so the two most powerful warrior? precious and calmly allowing precious to pass to accomplish. irony. lol. don’t think you get what i mean but that’s what i mean. :p

global warming
April 2nd, 2010 Posted 6:40 pm
so its April fool yesterday. had fun? yes/no? whatever it is folks, bare in mind its just another surpassing day where life goes on and when times come we’ll look back at these days again and have a great laugh.
i got pranked and i pranked. :p
***
if there’s one thing i’ve learn better about global warming, its this- mankind. no, i am not condemning any individual slash party slash community for the consequences of global warming we’re currently going through. but hey, has mankind TOO, gone into the state of warming?
to quote hoilai, if we could at sometime stop having our own opinions at anything, sit back and take a look at the big picture, we’ll begin to see the ‘real world’. No doubt we’re in such fast track life at such we miss sights of little little details of life. have you miss the sight on how mankind has ….(i think the word to fit in here ) changed?
Besides having the world losing its temperate climate, mankind along too! How contagious. People are becoming more hot-tempered, antsy and impatience. With that hot temperature, the patience level of people lately can so much be compared to ice bergs. (thanks m) Its melting off so rapidly, and soon be gone.
global warming power two? enough of disaster.
Save the earth from global warming, but don’t forget to save the entity of mankind too.
